Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The essentials about planning a group trip with Waysemble.

Does Waysemble choose the trip for us?

No. Waysemble identifies feasible options and ranks the compromises using everyone’s answers. The group stays in control and the organizer confirms the final choice. The organizer can optionally limit suggestions to selected regions. Travelers can prefer regions within that scope; dates, budgets, and other criteria still determine the best compromises.

Can I book through Waysemble?

Not currently. Waysemble is a planning and decision-support tool. Confirm prices, availability, restrictions, and booking terms directly with the travel provider.

Are displayed prices guaranteed?

No. Flight fares can change or expire quickly, and other transport costs are estimates. Check the source and freshness shown in each result, then verify the final amount before booking.

Can other travelers see my budget?

Individual budgets and private answers are used by the calculation but are not shown to other participants unless the interface clearly says otherwise. Shared results focus on the group compromise.

Does every traveler need an account?

No. The organizer signs in with an email code; invited travelers can answer through their secure invitation link without creating an account.

What happens after I answer the questionnaire?

Your answers are saved and you can still edit them. Once everyone has answered, the organizer confirms the group and launches the compromise calculation. The results then appear on the trip page; the organizer can choose to notify the group in the app and by email when launching the calculation.

How is the ranking calculated?

Hard constraints are checked first. Feasible options then receive traveler scores for preferences, budget, and travel. The group score balances the average experience with the least-satisfied traveler. Skiing and snow sports affects your score and appears in your priorities only when selected; missing ski data counts as zero and is displayed as limited.

What happens if someone changes an answer?

Existing results become out of date. The organizer can run the calculation again so every option reflects the latest group inputs.

Can the selected result change automatically?

No. A newly calculated ranking does not silently replace a trip the organizer has already selected. The final decision remains explicit.

Does Waysemble check accessibility needs?

Not yet. The questionnaire does not collect accessibility details, and results do not confirm whether transport is suitable. Check your needs directly with providers before choosing or booking.
